The digestive system is concerned with the intak, breakdown, absorption and deposition of food.  Components of food such as protiens carbohydrates and fats are broken down into smaller molecules to allow the body to absorb them more easily and to use them for energy, growth and repair.  Although a completely optional addition to treatment, an abdominal massage can have therapeutic effects to the digestive system:

  • Stimulates the movement of digested food through the large intestine.
  • Helpful in relieving Constipation
  • Can help to relieve some symptoms of I.B.S.
